Wrangled From Heaven

"WRANGLED FROM HEAVEN"**Bella** 2003 Black Silver Tobiano APHA mare. She is believed to be the very first APHA horse tested and confirmed as being a carrier of the elusive and highly desirable silver (Z) gene. She and her dam, Stars Angel Too, were featured in the article "Precious Metal", which ran in the February 2009 edition of the APHA Journal.

Bella's DNA color test results concluded that she is also homozygous for black and does not carry a dominant agouti gene. She is heterozygous for tobiano and negative for frame overo. EE aa nZ nT. She is tested 5-panel negative. She is a true black silver (silver dapple) tobiano. Bella does not carry any common silver ancestors with the known silver AQHA lines. This is a true APHA silver line. She is a shining example of the incredible versatility offered by the Paint breed.

She had a successful dressage show stint in 2010. Consistently scoring in the 70s and placing in the ribbons at every show she attended. She qualified for the 2010 IaDCTA Championship Show, where she placed 2nd among 8 entries in Intro A and 1st place among 10 entries in Intro B. Bella's first foal was a 2009 bay silver part-Trakehner filly by Prelude by Mozart. Pashmina was exported to Germany as a yearling. She is the founding mare for the silver breeding program at the prestigious Gestüt Altmarkhof. Pashmina has produced several approved foals and even a site champion foal for her owner, Dr. Marliese Dobberthien.

Bella will change the face of the future of the APHA Equine industry in her modern quality show performance bred offspring with the unique and rare color of APHA Silver tobianos we endeavor to produce here with her breeding to our proven champion producing performance Tobiano stallions.
